Job Description

The JDE Financial Controlling team is responsible for the monthly reporting cycle of the various International Headquarter departments and the financial reporting of several corporate entities including JDE Peet’s NV. Moreover, the team works closely with the Global Accounting & Reporting, Tax and Treasury teams and in addition supports the IHQ Business Controllers in their role as co-pilot of the business. We are looking for an Accounting Specialist who is custom to work with senior finance leaders and has aspiration to continue to build his/ her career in Financial Controlling. You will report into the Financial Control Manager and have no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurate reporting of the general ledger of some of the IHQ entities
  • Monitor and follow-up on accounts payable and accounts receivable, which includes timely invoicing of services rendered either to third parties or JDE Peet’s group entities
  • Monitor and follow-up on discrepancies of various suspense accounts and VAT balances
  • Participate in the monthly period-end close process and assists in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
  • Periodic balance sheet movement analysis
  • Execute daily bank payments and the proper documentation thereof
  • Proactively recommend actions to improve the quality of the general ledger accounting and initiate automation of the standard financial transactions.


To be successful in this role, you will need a Finance Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of professional expertise as a Financial Accountant within a multinational organization. Ideally, you have experience working with SAP or any other ERP system. Finally, you are proactively driving for continuous improvement, work meticulously, thoroughly and are able to stand your ground in a factual discussion.
